How to increase Image Size to 100 KB

  1. 1.

Add your photo. Drop it, paste it or pick it from your files.

  2. 2.

Keep the 100 KB target. It is already set. The result is just above 100 KB, so a minimum of 100 KB is always met.

Why this size

When a form needs at least 100 KB

Some admission, scholarship and document portals want files between 100 and 200 KB, so that scans stay readable. Screenshots and photos shared over WhatsApp are often far smaller.

The tool raises the file to just above 100 KB without touching its width, height or look, so it fits a 100 to 200 KB range.

Avoid

Common problems and fixes

  • The form still says the file is too smallSome portals count 1 KB as 1024 bytes and others as 1000. The tool lands a little above 100 KB, which passes both.
  • The width and height must also matchResize the photo first, then increase the KB. Increasing never changes the pixels.

How we checked this page

Checked by the SizePort team on .

We test the tool with sample photos before it goes live and check that the sizes on this page match what it produces. Rules and platforms change, so if something here is out of date, tell us and we will correct it.

How the tool works

The tool saves the photo again at a higher JPG quality, which makes the file larger without changing its pixels. If that is not enough, it adds an empty comment block inside the JPG until the size is reached. The picture, its width and its height stay the same. Everything happens in your browser; your images are never uploaded.
