Why this size
Why watermark your photos
A watermark tells everyone who took the photo or who sells the product, even after the picture has been shared, saved and posted again. Shops use it to stop others copying their product shots, photographers to send proofs, and creators to keep their name on their work.
A mark in the corner is discreet. A pattern all over the photo is much harder to crop away, which makes it the right choice for proofs and previews. The text is white with a thin dark outline, so it reads on bright and dark photos alike.
| Placement | Best for |

Watermark Photos: questions

How we checked this page
Checked by the SizePort team on .
We test the tool with sample photos before it goes live and check that the sizes on this page match what it produces. Rules and platforms change, so if something here is out of date, tell us and we will correct it.
How the tool works
The tool draws your text onto the photo in your browser: white letters with a thin dark outline, so the mark reads on light and dark areas. The size follows the photo's width, so a mark looks the same on small and large photos. The photo keeps its width, height and format. Everything happens in your browser; your images are never uploaded.
