Why this size
SSC signature size: 6 x 2 cm, 10 to 20 KB
SSC takes your photo live with the webcam or phone camera while you fill the One Time Registration, so the only image you upload is your signature. It must be 6.0 cm wide and 2.0 cm tall, between 10 and 20 KB, as a JPG. A phone photo of a signature is several MB and the wrong shape, which is why so many forms get stuck here.
The size is given in cm, so the pixels depend on the DPI. This page makes 236 x 79 pixels, which is 6 x 2 cm at 100 DPI, and keeps the file between 10 and 20 KB without blurring the ink. If a guide asks for 300 DPI, 6 x 2 cm is 709 x 236 pixels; the shape and the KB range are what the portal checks, and both stay the same.
| File | Rule |
|---|---|
| Signature | 6.0 x 2.0 cm (width x height), 10 to 20 KB, JPG |
Compare
6 cm x 2 cm in pixels
The same 6 x 2 cm signature at the DPI values guides mention. Keep the file between 10 and 20 KB whichever you use.
| DPI | Pixels (width x height) |
|---|---|
| 100 DPI (this page) | 236 x 79 |
| 200 DPI | 472 x 157 |
| 300 DPI | 709 x 236 |

Checked
How we checked this page
Checked by the SizePort team on .
We compare every size and rule on this page with the official sources below, and test the tool with sample photos before it goes live. Rules and platforms change, so if something here is out of date, tell us and we will correct it.
How the tool works
The kit sets each file to the exact pixel size the form gives, then searches for the JPG quality that lands it inside the KB range. If a small file is still under the minimum, it adds an empty comment block inside the JPG, which raises the size without changing the picture. It also writes the DPI the form asks for. Everything happens in your browser; your images are never uploaded.
