Wallet Size Photo size in pixels, cm and inches
Printers think in physical sizes, screens think in pixels. Wallet Size Photo is 6.35 x 8.89 cm, or 2.5 x 3.5 in. At 300 DPI, the standard for sharp prints, that is 750 x 1050 px; at 150 DPI, enough for posters seen from a distance, it is 375 x 525 px.
The tool resizes your image to the 300 DPI size and writes 300 DPI into the file, so print dialogs pick the right size automatically. Print at 100% or Actual size, not Fit to page, and the result measures exactly 2.5 x 3.5 in.
Wallet prints come in two sizes, and both are sold as wallet size. The larger one is 2.5 x 3.5 inches, and two of them fit on a 4 x 6 print, which is how this page lays them out. Walgreens prints a smaller 2 x 3 inch wallet, four to a 4 x 6 sheet; to make that size, type 2 x 3 in resize in inches. A wallet photo is not a passport photo: for a US passport use the 2 x 2 inch passport photo.

Common problems and fixes
- The photo lab cut off part of the picturePhone photos are a different shape from wallet prints. Resize here with Fill and choose what to keep yourself, or use Fit to keep everything with thin borders.
- The print is darker than the screenScreens are lit from behind, paper is not. Brighten the photo a little before printing, especially faces in shadow.
